My name is Brian Durant. I am originally from Omaha Nebraska and have lived in Colorado since 2016. Me and my girlfriend Emily both are from Omaha Nebraska but met each other in Colorado. We have a dog together named Brutus. He is 5 years old and enjoys anyone who will give him attention. We enjoy taking Brutus on walks on the trails. We also enjoy paddle boarding at the lake, going to the mountains, watching and attending sporting events. I enjoy working for Five Star Painting because I like working with customers and building relationships with those customers.

I’m proud to be a long-standing estimator at Five Star Painting. Born and raised in Colorado, I’ve always loved everything about this amazing state. 2024 was a milestone year for me as I welcomed my twins, Landon and Harper, into the world. When I’m not chasing after my little ones, I’m out exploring the outdoors, spending time with family, throwing the frisbee for my pup, Khloe, or passionately cheering for the Broncos and Nuggets (because Colorado pride runs deep). Working for Five Star Painting is a joy because it allows me to connect with my fellow Coloradans. I take pride in helping homeowners bring their visions to life and contributing to the beautiful homes and neighborhoods that make Northern Colorado such a special place to live.

I was born in Maryland but moved to Omaha at the age of 12, where I spent most of my life until transitioning to Colorado in 2022. Since April 2010, I’ve played various roles supporting Luke Taylor’s endeavors—primarily in Omaha—before bringing my skills and experience to Luke & Michael’s Five Star Painting company here in Colorado. On a personal note, I’m incredibly proud of my 18-year-old son, Chase, who lives back in Nebraska. He’s currently working toward his welding certifications and has a passion for making his pickup as loud as possible—something that always makes me smile and cringe at the same time. I visit him monthly, and our time together is priceless. Through him, I also discovered a love for Lego—I’m now a full-on AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego), with a collection of nearly 1,100 sets. I share my home with my 5-year-old Golden Retriever, Mia. She’s the perfect dog, given to me by a customer who wanted her to have a happy home before moving out of the area. We bonded instantly, and she’s my loyal companion, especially now that I work from home more often. When I’m not working, I enjoy hanging out with my girlfriend, frisbee golf, driving to the mountains, walking with Mia, and adding new Lego builds to my collection. Hello everyone! My name is Nick Chase and I am a project manager here at Five Star Painting. I am not a Colorado native but I have been living here the last 22 years and would never choose any place different. I love a good round of golf when the sun is shining and a fast trip down the slopes when the snow is falling. When it's extra cold I love to sit on nice warm beaches in Mexico and enjoy cold cervezas and play horseshoes. Out of everywhere I have been, Bali has been one of the most awesome places I have been lucky enough to see. One day when I have the skill I hope to play 18 holes at Pinehurst! Secretly, I have taken cooking courses on the side and can make some mean Italian food. Working here at Five Star is absolutely amazing because we focus on ensuring the best customer driven experience and making sure all expectations are always exceeded. I have been lucky enough to be a part of such a great team for a couple of years now and would not choose any other team to make your creative visions come true.

Hi, I’m Michael Cook! I was born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming, and after high school, I attended Black Hills State University, where I earned a degree in Business Administration. After graduating, I moved to Colorado in 2017, where I found not only a new home but also met my incredible wife. We got married in 2021, and together we love spending time with family and friends, traveling, camping, and attending dirt track races. We’re also the proud parents of two boys, Zander (2 years old) and Cooper (5 months old). When I’m not with my family, you’ll find me immersed in my work. I’m deeply passionate about what I do and incredibly proud of the team we’ve built over the past four years. Their dedication, talent, and commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience inspire me every day. Leading a team that shares my drive for excellence is a privilege, and I’m truly grateful to every customer who has trusted us with their business. Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue growing our company while staying true to the values that have guided us this far: dedication, creativity, and an unwavering focus on delivering the best customer experience.

My wife and I love the Colorado experience, our 25-year old son still lives here and takes full advantage of what Colorado offers. Our girls are still at home and we can’t ask for more than having them see a business grow and learn from everything that this business and state has to offer.
