Sherri’s first job was with Sears, fresh out of college. She began to develop her management and customer service skills as an entry-level employee, working her way up to Appliance Department Manager. Sherri then decided to make a move to another retailer, downside, is they start everyone at the bottom. Bed Bath & Beyond was her next adventure, beginning in “soft side” which means towels, linens, etc. Of course, it didn’t take long for her to elevate to the position she was hired for, assistant store manager. Sherri enjoyed a long career at Bed Bath & Beyond, eventually ending her career as Regional Director of Customer Service. In this position, Sherri managed the Regional Managers, developed innovative customer service practices, improved the bridal registry, and learned valuable leadership skills, to be successful. When BBB took over Buy Buy Baby, Sherri was tasked with developing its entire customer service handbook, processes, and training. After 2 kids, and a successful career, Sherri decided it was time to slow down a bit, and find a path that didn’t require so much travel, and this came at the perfect time because that is when the Five Star Painting of New Orleans became available for purchase. So she and Brian packed up their belongings and moved to the south. Sherri is a vital part of the business, utilizing the exemplary tools and skills she has learned throughout her customer service-focused career.
