Joseph Lodato, the owner of Five Star Painting of McDonough, GA, has had a diverse career path before entering the painting business. After serving in the Navy for four years and traveling extensively, he pursued a career in the hospitality industry. He attended school for hospitality in Florida and began working for Marriott Hotels in 1981. During this time, he also met his wife, Robyne, who later became involved in their painting business.

After dedicating 33 years to the hospitality industry, Joseph decided to transition to entrepreneurship to spend more time with his family. He started Five Star Painting of McDonough in February 2013 with the goal of becoming the premier painting contractor in Henry and neighboring counties. He aimed to provide a level of service that exceeded industry standards and norms.

Five Star Painting is truly a family business, with Joseph's wife, Robyne, handling color consultation, adding an extra dimension to the painting services they offer. This unique service provides customers with guidance and value, setting them apart from smaller painting businesses.

In 2023, Anthony Lodato joined the team as the Project Manager, bringing five years of painting experience to the table. His expertise and attention to detail have contributed to the team's success and increased customer satisfaction. Additionally, the team includes talented lead painters Damien and Leo, both under 30 but with remarkable painting skills and a track record of overcoming project challenges.

Five Star Painting of McDonough offers a range of services, including interior and exterior repaints for residential and commercial projects, cabinet painting, drywall work, and carpentry services. While cost is always a consideration, the team's primary focus is on customer satisfaction, and they work diligently to deliver on their promises for each project.

Joseph's background in the military and the hospitality industry has instilled discipline, time management, and organizational skills into his work ethic, which he applies to his painting business. He emphasizes taking responsibility and ensuring that the buck stops with him, demonstrating a commitment to homeowners and their projects.

In addition to their painting business, Five Star Painting of McDonough is involved with The Bridge Wellness South, a non-profit organization focused on wellness for expecting families, providing support and services to their community.
