Five Star Painting of Wilmington has been owned and operated by Dave and Kathy Stracke since December 2015. They’ve been business partners for more than 20 years, and are long-time residents of Newark, Delaware. Their passion for delivering superior customer service has been the key to their success, and they pride themselves on providing excellent painting services through the use of superior products and experienced, skilled painters.

Susie Moak

Estimator

Susie Moak has been with Five Star Painting since May 2018. With her professional background in the real estate industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge about property enhancements, trends, and styles. Susie has a dynamic personality that allows her to connect authentically with clients. She is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.

Brian Vasquez

Project Manager

Brian Vasquez began his career at FIve Star as a painter, but was promoted to Project Manager in 2020. With his knowledge of paint and his attention to detail, Brian focuses on running efficient job sites and maintaining communication with the clients during the project. In addition to being fluent in English and Spanish, he enjoys learning other languages, including French and Italian.

Megan Burgos

Project Manager

Megan joined the Five Star team in 2023. She is a problem-solver, has a great eye for detail and her many years of previous managerial experience makes her the perfect liaison between painters and clients. Megan lives in Bear with her children and partner, and is a non-apologetic Dallas Cowboys fan!

Karen Ehemann

Operations

Karen Ehemann joined the team in 2021, and has been instrumental in keeping the entire operation on schedule, week in and week out. Her strong organizational skills and ability to problem-solve make her a valued member of the team, as does her sunny disposition and sense of humor. Karen is happily married and the mother of two teenagers, which explains her ability to multi-task like a beast!

Michelle Opalesky

Color Consultant

Michelle is an actor currently studying acting as well as performing in local theatre, film and tv. She is the mother of 2 sons with her husband of 22 years. One aspect of her job that she most enjoys is getting to meet the wonderful clients at Five Star. She finds it a privilege to be invited in to talk about their home. She is also proud to be working for such a dedicated and talented team.
