Henry and Kim Zaborniak are entrepreneurs with a passion for service to others. In 2013, Hank and his wife Kim established Five Star Painting of Pickerington and Reynoldsburg. Their commitment to customer service and lifelong appreciation for craftsmen led them to the franchise. After their first year in business, they were awarded "Rookie of the Year" for the franchise system. Their Pickerington Five Star team focuses on providing a painting experience that delights every client.

We give back to our communities by supporting area food pantries in order to alleviate hunger. We also rescue abused and abandoned Wire Fox and Airedale terriers in order to place them in loving homes.
Managing Owner
Before opening Five Star Painting in 2013, Henry was an Assistant Commissioner with the Ohio High School Athletic Association. During his 23-year tenure, he grew the number of Ohio sports officials from 10,000 to 17,000 and was the administrator responsible for two of the largest OHSAA sports programs – football and wrestling.
Hank served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Sports Officials (NASO). He served on the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) basketball and football rules committees and publications committees. Henry was recognized for his integrity, professionalism, and dedication by several organizations. He was inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame and the Ohio Wrestling Officials and Wrestling Coaches Halls of Fame. He received the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association Lifetime Achievement Award and is a member of the OHSAA Officials Hall of Fame.
In 2000 he received the NFHS National Distinguished Contributor Award. In 2012 Henry retired from sports officiating. During his 39-year football officiating career Hank worked high school and collegiate football. During his 21 seasons as an NCAA Division I official, he served the Mid-American and Big 10 Conferences. He officiated every Big 10 rivalry and non-conference rivalries including Kentucky v Louisville and USC v Notre Dame. He retired after the 2012 Cotton Bowl which pitted Arkansas against Kansas State. Henry earned his BA in psychology from Ohio Northern and a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from Bowling Green State University.
Owner and Office Manager
Kim is responsible for the smooth management of all bookkeeping, payables, and billing functions. Prior to starting Five Star Painting, Kim worked in the newspaper industry, the Ohio State library and for over 30 years she was an executive administrative assistant for the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
Kim is an active volunteer with the annual Great Granville Turkey Trot, sponsored by St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. The annual GGTT raises nearly $100,000 for the Licking County Food Pantry Network. Most Wednesdays and Saturdays Kim can be found at the Market Street Food Pantry serving community members in need.
Her love of Terriers has led her to rescue over 130 Airedale and Wire Fox Terriers and place them in forever homes. Kim and her terriers are competitors in conformation and agility shows. Kim and Henry reside in Millersport, OH with Elliot the Airedale and Wire Fox, Copper.
Customer Fulfillment Specialist
Todd works with our team to ensure that we meet or surpass our customers’ expectations. He strives to deliver a white-collar experience in a blue-collar industry. Todd is a Pickerington High School Central graduate who participated in football, track, and boys’ volleyball. He enjoyed the Pickerington school experience and is happy to be back and working in our community.
He attended the Ohio State University at the Newark branch and at the main campus. He is a Buckeye, through and through. Throughout the school year, you can find Todd officiating high school and collegiate football. He has been officiating since 2004. Todd is a veteran collegiate official working in both the Ohio Athletic (OAC) and Great Midwest Athletic Conferences.
Todd is married to Ashley, an elementary school teacher. She is also a PHSC graduate. Ashley and Todd have two children, Violet and Charlie.
