I recently had Ms. Carla Hunter and her team at Five Star Painting Company of Upper Marlboro and Waldorf paint my kitchen cabinets. I was throughly impressed by her professionalism and knowledge of the process, and she provided me a quote immediately for the project. I might also add that her quote was better than four other quotes I had received. She was on site every day to get her team started and returned at the end of the day to ensure the progress of the project. Her team did an excellent job, cleaning up daily, and accommodating my color change request without any hesitation. And, they still completed the job close to schedule. I called for estimate and set up the appointment. The appointment was called off because of a lack of availability from one of the estimators. Mind you I had to adjust my work and home schedule to make sure we were available for the appointment. James Hunter who identified himself as the owner reached out apologized and we rescheduled the appointment. The day of the appointment for the estimate came and James reached out saying because it was raining they could not come out to look at our outdoor Pergola that just needed re stained. I responded and said we will be going in a different direction. I don’t like rearranging my life to have a company not be able to stay committed to their appointments. Update: Shortly after the second appointment was cancelled Carla reached out to me. She was extremely pleasant and came out and handled the estimate. I appreciated the companies response to my dissatisfaction.

Carla and her team were amazing to work with from beginning to end! The painting crew did an amazing job on our rusty picnic tables and benches, they look brand new. The crew did a thorough clean up of the area after the job was complete, communication was timely and professional. Wonderful experience, we will be using their services again in the future!

From the start of the project to the end, 5 star lived up to there name. James was the 1st person I met. Very professional and nice to work with. Carla the project manager went above and beyond, to take care of all my requests. I needed this project (a large one) done in 2 days. Mission accomplished.
